Supernatural Rock 2
Gem wasn’t paying much attention to the teacher, though she should’ve, considering it was her first day, but I was lost in thought. She was positive that she had felt an aura like Tersias’s before, but it was so unclear, and when she tired to think of where she might’ve felt it… her mind drew a blank. This along with the many other uncomfortable auras surrounding her, frustrated her to no end. She sat, deep in thought, when two things abruptly interrupted her thought process. One; a nagging feeling she was being watched, and two; someone had directly interrupted her thought process, literally…
She looked up and around letting her senses take over, looking for all physic auras, finding only Clive’s. She relaxed a little, and glanced at him. She looked at him slightly annoyed and thought continuously and hardly, ‘I was in the middle of something do you mind?’
He paled suddenly and shook his head.
She smiled, and nodded a small thank you. She then focused on the first distraction and glanced out the open window.
Tersias leaned against a tree and watched Gem through the open class window, blowing a puff of smoke into the air. The smoke clogged his senses most the time, but Gem’s smell lingered. It was a light scent that seemed to be like cherry blossoms scattered in the wind, or a rose garden, he couldn’t decide. As he watched Gem he saw that she seemed to be deep in thought. She tucked her hair behind her ear and her scent carried on the wind.
He inhaled deeply and let out a long line of smoke. He remembered when she bumped into him, and it was all he could do to stay where he was and just glance over his shoulder and make a cold remark. He had continued to make such remarks hoping that the smell was just the first whiff, but it lingered. When she had arched her neck to look at the building he had just stared, wondering why he had the sudden urge to…
He shook the thought away and took in another breath of his cigarette watching her intently. She suddenly sat straight up and glanced around. She became calm after a few moments and glanced around to Clive looking annoyed. Clive’s face then drained of all color as he shook his head and she nodded with a small smile. Tersias chuckled when Clive’s color returned and his cheeks turned a little pink.
Gem’s head then swung towards the open window and she saw Tersias. She looked slightly perplexed and slightly as though he had just poked her with a stick. He locked her eyes with his and smiled at her. This caught her off guard and she blushed, turning to the front of the class pretending to be amerced in the lesson and letting her hair make it almost impossible to see her face.
Tersias’s smile soon became amused and finished his cigarette quietly wondering why he had smiled at her like that…
At lunch Rat invited Gem to eat with them, she complied with a small smile shaking her head. She said she was going home to eat.
“Well before you go, about during class,” Clive started carefully.
She smiled at him, “Don’t worry about it, while you were tapping your fingers I was trying to remember a song, it just threw off my beat, no biggie.”
His cheeks went slightly pink as he cleared his throat and wondered why she would lie like that, “Well, I am very sorry.”
She just smiled again, and turned waving a little over her shoulder. She looked forward again as she turned the corner and ran into someone. She groaned inwardly, not again. She looked up to see Mo staring down on her with his hands gripping her arms. She froze with fear and then spoke harshly.
“Please, let go.” Her words were polite, but coldly spoken.
He smiled charmingly, blue eyes twinkling dangerously. “Just wanted to make sure you were alright,” he said sweetly.
His voice reminded her of cough syrup, a sickly sweet that left you ready to gag.
“You are alright,” he said. “Right?”
“Yes,” she said through her teeth.
“Are you going somewhere?” He looked down at her gently, but his eyes sized her up eagerly.
“For a walk,” she said analyzing how she might get him off the quickest.
It almost seemed as though he had read her mind when he leaned forward whispering, “You shouldn’t go places alone… you might run into something…” She could feel him breathing her in and hear the growing smirk in his voice, “Dangerous…” he said in a low voice.
She suddenly knew what he was, what Tersias was, what Terry was. It all flooded back the memories of dark ally ways and late night walks. She remembered how she always remembered it just before it became really dangerous, and she remembered that it was also the same feeling she got around her brother. She quickly bent her wrist and pulled a bracelet into her palm.
“Let go,” she hissed dangerously, as she found the cross charm on the bracelet and touched his elbow with it.
He seemed to wither as he hissed and shrank away.
She looked at him coldly, carefully hiding the fear that shook her entire being, before walking around him. She walked quickly to her house, breathing sharply, glancing over her shoulder constantly. She collapsed behind the closed door and held her head in her hands. She was trying to think, to figure it all out, and to push back all those horrid memories.
She didn’t know why she could tell weather or not people were human, or normal, weather or not they were bad or good, she didn’t know why she couldn’t remember a vampire’s aura, and she most certainly didn’t know why they were attracted to her. Why all non-normal, supernatural, non-human beings swarmed around her, or why she was constantly attacked by them everywhere she had ever been.
She was crushed by this thought most of all, for now it wasn’t just everywhere else, now it was here too, just like everywhere else. She then remembered Tersias, and Terry… they didn’t seem bad, but she’d have to be more careful, much more careful…
She stood shakily, and decided she would just eat some fruit for lunch and then head back.
Tersias walked over to Clive and Rat as Gem left, it was best to be real careful around her for the moment, “Little chilly Clive? Or is that, oh what’s the scientific term for it…?”
Clive just blushed more, “I don’t know what you’re getting at, Tersias. I just find her intriguing.”
Rat, not knowing what intriguing means, said, “I don’t know I thought she was cool.” He smiled mischievously, “She’d be real fun to trick, sis and I would have lots of fun with her…” His smile grew a little one side, “Even more so to… well, you know.” The smile spread across his whole face wickedly, “Not that sis and I do that anymore, but it sure would be fun, and there’s nothing wrong about thinking about it…”
Clive rolled his eyes at the fact that Rat didn’t know what he meant and then shivered because, of course, Rat meant it would be fun to kill her. “I don’t know her mind… She knew I was reading her thoughts.” He paused, “I think I’ll try the things my parents are teaching me on her, the stuff on how to read other physics’ minds, even though I don’t think she’s a physic. She didn’t send me a thought; she just thought something again and again making it hard for me to miss…”
He glanced in the direction that she had walked away in, “I’ve never read a mind like hers… it’s very…”
“Appealing?” Tersias suggested.
Clive didn’t like the metaphor but it was accurate, “Yes.” He nodded and mumbled, “Appealing.” She did seem to draw him in with her soft smile. He quickly shook the thought away and looked at Tersias, “How did you…?”
Tersias looked him straight in the eye with out even turning his head completely toward him.
Clive paled, “Oh, dear…”
Tersias snorted, “Oh, dear isn’t even the half of it.” he turned to Rat. “Yo, whiskers!”
Rat turned; annoyed that Tersias had interrupted his thoughts, well his fantasy, really. “What?”
“What’d she smell like?”
He looked at Tersias confused, “What?”
“Gem, you said you thought she’d be a good target, you must’ve noticed how she smelled somewhere in that fantasy,” he said hitting him over the head. “Killing her wasn’t all you were going to do was it?”
Rat scowled, “Yes actually it was!” He cried defensively.
“Right, then what did her blood smell like?”
This made him smile again, “Like a rose garden… very appealing…”
Tersias turned again, “See? Oh dear, doesn’t even beginning to cover it, because Mo and all the other supernatural yea-hoos at the school are thinking the same thing. ‘Appealing… very appealing…’ Not such a good thing.”
Clive looked slightly appalled at the both of them, glad that he wasn’t thinking about bleeding her dry or murdering her. “Then we’ve got to stay with her.” He said suddenly.
Rat and Tersias stared at him.
“I’m serious; you two and Terry have the most control of anyone in the whole school, and the ones most likely not to harm her. We’ve got to protect her.”
“When you say we, you mean…?” Rat asked.
“We, us, me, you, Tersias, and Terry,” Clive said.
Tersias seemed to be thinking about it while Rat yelled, “What?! That’s way too dangerous!”
Clive snorted, “You’re the one who gave her a tour of the place, sat next to her every chance you’ve got, and invited her to eat with us.”
Rat opened his mouth to answer then shut it, before saying in a small voice, “And invited her to the audition…”
Tersias seemed slightly amused, “Good job, Rat. What were you going to do? The usual? Lure her into the ‘haunted house,’ and spill her guts in the garden?”
“Actually I was going to try the attic; it’s pretty creepy too, got over grown plants coming in through the ceiling.” He said with a sinister smile.
Clive felt sick and Tersias said, “Fine, we’ll keep an eye out for her. I just want you to know that it’s dangerous with this guy around.”
Rat turned to him angrily, “Hey you’re just as dangerous as me!”
Tersias stopped, “No… no, I don’t want to kill her…” as he pulled out a cigarette.
“Then what?” Rat snorted.
Tersias seemed a little dazed as he said, “I haven’t decided yet…”
She looked up and around letting her senses take over, looking for all physic auras, finding only Clive’s. She relaxed a little, and glanced at him. She looked at him slightly annoyed and thought continuously and hardly, ‘I was in the middle of something do you mind?’

A Whole Hearted Thanks! (and some other radom coments comments)
Ok, I'd just like to thank the dude from borbom101.blogsopt for putting my blog on his site, it was majorly appreciated! I mean really, I'm totally un-Internet savey and had no idea how to get my blog noticed, so thanks to a couple minutes on the blogspot help thingy (and on bordom101.blogspot) I found one or two ways how to do so!^^
So on with the random comments!
Now these comments are all about Supernatural Rock, I think it's my favorite story on here, I love the characters and they're really fun to write about! So you know Clive right? The tall, gangly, nerd with glasses who can totally read minds and junk? Yeah, that's the one! I'd just like to point out how totally sorry I feel for the dude, I mean first; his two best friends are practically blood thirsty, yuck! And I mean right now he's got his first crush and the poor guy's gotta (or at least he's gonna try to) protect her from at least half the school, including his two best friends. I mean that's a lot for one guy (no offence to other guys) to take on, physic or not!
Oh, and Gem, I mean it's not like she tries to attract guys, or tries to be 'appealing', or anything. Really that's all Chriss's thing, not Gem's. I mean how can a girl help when her blood smells good, or what it's like when someone reads her mind? That stuff is beyond our help, really it is. So maybe she could try not to smile as much, but it's not like she'd doing a sexy pose or anything, she's just smiling, most the time she's just smiling politely, so please don't take her as evil. Really she doesn't want to be 'appealing' any more then Clive wants her to be. Seriously, there's only so much you can do with a uniform like hers (long sleeve collared tee, black skirt, and knee high socks) to cover all your skin so the nearest vampire doesn't get a sudden craving, she wears a jacket a lot and even shorts under the skirt (she's very modest), and Chriss is the one who unbuttons like three buttons and wears a size too small skirt. So please don't take Gem the wrong way, she's not a bad gal.
That's all for now, bye!^^

Info
Hey, I'm Angele43, and I thought that you might want to know why my site is angele43 and my stories are... well... not... about... angels... heh, yeah well I'm kinda new at the whole blogging thing so I'm trying to only do a couple stories at a time and I thought that if they like those I'd actually start posting stuff like; Angele43, Angeld42, Angelc41, Angelf44, and maybe Angelg45 (it's a series). But I don't want to put stuff up if no one will like it, but I will fill you in on the stuff I already have up;
First I have Bloody Honor. This is about a young girl who goes with her mother to meet her future husband (it's normal in that time period) and her mother is attack and killed by a vampire. In the midst of her future husband (Timothy) helping her escape and holding off his older brother, the vampire that attacked her mother, she gives him some of her blood, causing devastating effects. She is far into her teen years and Timothy shows up at her house, in just as bad a state as her. Now they must figure out how to stop a war between the citizens of Angel City and the followers of Lord Cirillo (Timothy's older brother).
Second I have What Happens When You Fall In Love With Your Best Friend. A story about how young geniuses don''t really have it all figured out. Young Diamond Stone is quite the teen genius, but has no idea what to do when she falls in love with her one and only best friend in the whole world. Is she supposed to just blow it off so as to not ruin the friendship? That's her idea until there's a school play and she gets caught up in writing the script, based on her own fantasies, and ends up having to play her own part while her best friend lands the leading role, himself.
Third I have Supernatural Rock. This one's about poor Gemma Stone who's got a strange gift (she can feel the aura's of other beings and has an aura of her own that lures in other supernatural beings) and has ran straight into (literally) a group of Supernatural Beings who just happens to be a rock band, and one of them is extremely hot and just happens to want her blood (he thinks she smells really good). So now that she's the lead singer and love struck (yup, you guessed it the one who thirsts for her blood), she realizes how she's meant to use her gift, and that she's gotta kick some major supernatural boo-tay 'cause the whole towns crawling with creepy, supernatural, bad guys.
Now Angele43 (I'll tell you what it's about and if you want to read it please comment) is about an experimental agent. She (along with 41, 42, 44, and 45, the first 40 of series c were failures, the first 41 of series d were failures, the first 42 of series e were failures ,the first 43 of series f were failures, and the first 44 of series g were failures [there are only 45 in each series and with only five successes they weren't granted permission to do any more series after g]) has had her in tire being wired, her nervous system, her respiratory system, her circulatory system, her brain, her blood everything has been combined and strengthened by robotics, so she's really a cyborg. She's been trained to be a secret agent her whole life and has never failed or refused a mission... or had partner. She's just been given a new undercover assignment with a partner agent, who's aroused her human feelings, or what's left of them any way.
So that's pretty much it...^^ just thought I'd give ya the scoop! bye!

Bloody Honor
My face seemed hallowed, with my baggy eyes, and my cheek bones sharp beneath my skin. My cloudy grey eyes stared intently at the reflection. I finally sighed and let my fingers run through my charcoal colored hair wondering what I did to deserve this. Tired of not sleeping, tired of seeing how bad I looked, and emotionally exhausted, I rang the servant’s bell. Within moments my servant, May, was at my door.
“What can I do for you miss?” she asked breathless, and still in her night clothes.
“I’m sorry to bother you, but I need a bath. If you’ll get the hot water, I can handle the rest…” I said.
She nodded and left. I pulled out my tub from the closet, and set it next to the fire place. I quickly lighted a fire, and found some nice bath soap. May came back up the stairs, into my room, and looked horrified at the fact I had done all of what I did.
“Miss, I could’ve done that for you!” She cried.
I laughed dryly, “May, believe it or not I am capable of doing some things.”
Her gingery red hair and hazel like eyes shone in the crackling fire light, “But not when your sick miss!”
The words stung, I hated being called sick. I turned my head, “May, I am not sick. I can’t sleep, because of the nightmares. I can’t eat, because the sight of food makes me sick to my stomach. It seems bad right now, but it will pass. I t always does.”
“But miss your in such a fragile state! It’s never been near this bad! You haven’t slept but a wink all this week, and the only thing you’ve eaten is a couple pieces of toast that you almost spilled on the floor! If you want to do something miss, relax!” She said almost angrily.
I almost slapped her senseless, but felt sick just at the memory of eating that horrid toast. I felt the taste in my mouth, and smelled the marmalade. I felt woozy remembering swallowing it; I didn’t even keep it down. When no one was looking I threw up. I turned my back to her and sat down while softly saying, “The bath water’s getting cold.”
She didn’t say another word as she filled up the tub, and poured in the bath soap. She finally finished and stood, “Good night miss…”
I didn’t answer, just waiting for her to leave. She did and I slowly got up, and un-dressed. Slipping down into the hot water I felt relaxed, and untroubled. Leaning back my head I listened to the crackling fire. I closed my eyes and let the memories take over…
“Come on darling, it’s time to go.” My mother said trying to lull me out the door.
“Where are we going mummy?” I asked.
She smiled, “We are going to see a handsome young man that you,” she pocked my nose affectionately and we both giggled, “Are betrothed to.”
“Betrothed?”
“It means your going to marry him when you get older,” She said.
I wrinkled my noise, “But what if I don’t like him?”
“Well how about we see it we like him first, and then decide on that one, ok?”
“Ok… Mother, what’s his name?” I asked as we made our way to the carriage.
“Timothy,” She said. “It means honor.”
“Can I call him Timmy?”
My mother laughed, “We’ll just have to wait and see won’t we?”
I nodded and for the rest of the carriage ride, we counted sheep, horses, and other animals. When we got to the house, I excitedly scurried down from my seat, and out of the carriage. My mother told me to be polite as possible, and took my hand. We walked up to the door and saw a young boy sitting on the steps. He had dark hair and eyes, and seemed to be just about my older brother’s age. This made me very happy because I loved my brother, and we together played all the time.
“Timothy?” My mother asked.
The boy looked up and smiled politely.
“Hello darling, this is Angelina.”
“I’m Timothy,” he said standing up.
“Well Timothy darling, I’m very glad to meet you.” Mother smile was uneasy. “I was also looking forward to speaking with your parents; do you know where they are?”
He nodded, “They’re inside talking to Lord Cirillo.”
My mother suddenly paled, “Cirillo?” She croaked.
“Yes, he’s my eldest brother really, but he’s not very nice; not very nice at all.” Timothy said.
I waited for mother to say, ‘Now that’s not very proper is it?’ But she didn’t, she picked me up and said, “Timothy, I think you should come with us…”
Timothy took her hand, and I was scared because my mother’s voice was scared. My mother was never scared and the fact that she was, scared me.
“He’s not that bad, but he bites people…” Timothy said. “He bit me once, and he bit mummy and daddy too.”
Mother completely dropped Timothy’s hand, “He bit you?”
Yes, was what I thought he was going to say, but Timothy now looked guilty and said softly, “No…”
“Darling if he bit you, it’s ok, but I need to know…”
Timothy nodded, and mother suddenly seemed to have a new light on the situation at hand. She put me down and said, “I want you two to hide in those bushes, and I don’t want you to come out, no mater what!”
“But mother?!” I cried.
“Shh, darling this is very important and I need you to be brave, ok?”
I sniffed, and nodded. Timothy and I ran to the bush and hide.
A tall, towering figure came out of the building, and my mother seemed to know him. He had dark hair, and blood red eyes, and a sneaking sort of smile.
“Why, hello! It’s been such a long time; tell me did you bring your daughter?” He asked.
“Why are you doing this, Cirillo?” My mother said coldly.
Cirillo frowned, “Now, what kind of manners are those?”
“I said why, Cirillo!” My mother yelled.
Cirillo replied angry now, “Because I want power… I want to be a Lord, and you have been, are, and that daughter of yours will be. Therefore, I need to kill you both.”
He smiled and flung my mother to the wall.
No, is what I wanted to cry out but my voice wouldn’t let me.
Timothy stood in front of me as I tried to run out, “She said no matter what.” His voice was calm. He took me by the hand and pulled me to the stable. I heard a blood curdling scream, and tired again to run back to her. “No!” Timothy said. He made me step up onto a stool and then helped me onto a large ginger colored horse.
I had been crying before because of my mother, and now noticed a cut on my cheek. It was bleeding and Timothy must’ve noticed it too. He got up on the stool and stood on his tippy-toes whispering, “Hold on tight to Spice’s mane, hug his neck if you have to, but don’t stop. He’ll take you all the way to town, and then you’ll have to show him how to get to your house.”
“What about you, and mother?” I asked.
He hesitated before saying, “We’ll be fine.” He kissed my cheek and I swear I saw him lick his lips of the blood. He slapped the Spice’s rear end and it went running full speed. He ran past my mother, and I saw Cirillo holding her around the neck, and blood dripping down her forehead. She smiled and me, and I yelled, “Mother!!” I reached back for her, but the horse kept running. I kicked Spice’s sides, and yelled for him to stop. I finally gave up and hugged his neck, letting hot tears spill down my cheek and sting the cut across my cheek. I never saw Timothy or my mother ever again.
I cried remembering my mother’s face. The blood, the smile… That was the vision that haunted my nightmares. I also have never had much of an appetite after that. Seeing food, smelling food, swallowing food, it all makes me gag. Doctors have said that is was a side effect of the traumatic experience, and had told my older brother and father that if I were to die it would be of starvation. My father couldn’t handle that along with the loss of my mother, and drank himself to death. My older brother made me promise not to starve myself to death. He said that he wouldn’t know what to do if I died. I promised, and now after eleven years I have kept such a promise. I realized that the water was now cold, and decided I would try once more to sleep.

What Happens When You Fall In Love With Your Best Friend
I took in a deep breath and stared at the horizon. The sun was just coming up over the tree tops as a rested my chin on my knees watching carefully over my arms that held tightly to my knees hugging them. I thought about changing my clothes considering I had gotten dressed and ready before one in the morning, but decided that jeans and my black tee with the appearance that someone had sketched a violin on it in grey would do.
Jumping down from the roof of our garage I slipped in the back door and made my way to the bathroom. I examined myself momentarily. I had short hair that was stacked in the back and came to a stop a little above my chin, it was dyed a pretty charcoal type of color. I smiled, that little fact always made me smile; it was a sign of my rebellion that wouldn’t be going away anytime soon. I watched my cool grey blue eyes for a moment wondering if my hair and wardrobe were enough to complete my drab Goth sort of look, but ended up shrugging it off.
I picked up my faded army messenger bag (that I had also dyed black) before glancing at my black trench coat; it was to warm out to wear it today, but... I sighed and picked up my ipod, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. I walked through the kitchen and grabbed an apple popping it in my mouth while putting in my nose ring, (a small sliver ball) my left earring, (Japanese symbol for friend) and the four in my right ear (a small grey ball, small red ball, a medium sized black ball, and a small star). I then put on a black and grey choker with little red beads, a sliver cross, and a black ribbon. I slipped on some black bangles on my right arm and then a black watch on the other before taking the apple from my mouth with a loud chomp.
All of this and my ipod probably would have convinced everybody I was a normal teenager, exactly what I was going for, but that is the farthest thing from the truth.
I guess now would be the best time to explain, you know all those kid geniuses that you here about? The ones that have super rich families, go to some hoity-toity snot nosed school for snobs, play a lot of classical music, read a lot, and all that junk? Yeah well that’s me.
Diamond Elizabeth Stone, that’s my name. I prefer Dai (it was misspelled on my birth certificate [Daimond], but Dai in Japanese sounds the same as the beginning of diamond anyway), but most adults can’t seem to handle that (some because it’s mostly a guy Japanese name others just won’t use it) and call me Elizabeth (yuck). I go to a really stupid school that’s for really rich or really smart kids and I’m one of the combo kids. My specialty is music and English, and my IQ? Let’s just say I’m past Einstein, and how do I feel about it? Let’s just say I hate it.
I chewed and swallowed the last bite of my apple before looking up at the sky and watching the clouds. The sun was now up completely and I grumbled at it for being in my eyes.
I mean it’s not like I hate being smart, I just hate that it’s made into such a big deal. Who the frig cares if I’m smarter then other people? I’m still a normal person, I don’t need special care.
I scowled at that, my mom was nut-so over my being the best I could be. Therefore I spent my childhood learning to play classical music, reading classics and Shakespeare, and going to all the finest schools, thus having no fun what-so-ever and having no friends or childhood. Now that my parents were in France I had more freedoms, because my nanny and butler are old and slow (no offence to the elderly, but these guys are like zombies). I’ve modified my look a bit (ok a lot), I’ve got a best friend, I am having a little more fun, and last but not least I have my first crush.
“Dai!!” someone yelled. I didn’t even have time to turn around when I was glomped (tackle/hug) by Haru (Ha-roo, its Japanese)
My whole face turned red.
“Good morning!” He said with an arm still around my shoulder. His sloppy dark brown hair fell over his honey colored eyes and mischievously placed freckles sprinkled over his nose made him look childish and friendly, exactly what he was. Then, as if that wasn’t enough to make me weak in the knees, he looked me straight in the eye and gave me his irresistible lopsided grin. I almost melted in his arms.
“And what exactly is so good about it?” I asked instead, hoping him to be oblivious to my reaction, as I pulled myself from his arms.
He just smiled again, “Walking to school with you, of course!”
I blushed and hoped that my hair hid most of my face as I focused on putting one foot in front of the other. Yup, you guessed it. My best friend and crush, yeah, both the same dude. Haru’s another one of us combo kids. He was born in Japan, thus the name, and is also super smart. His specialty is in language and the arts, the dude can speak like ten different languages! Anyway he also lives by himself; his parents are divorced and he’s supposed to live with his dad, but his dad is always away on business.
I looked up to see him watching the clouds. I smiled; his wardrobe was much the same as every other day, cargo's and a black tee, fitting his personality completely. I blushed again and looked back down, so… I wonder what happens when you fall in love with your best friend…

Supernatural Rock
Chapter One
“Yo, Tersias!”
A tall youth turned. He had dark hair that hung over his stone cold, dark eyes in a dramatic way, making him look even creepier. Of course he wore the normal uniform and all, but he did, as some call it, have a veil of mystery about him.
He removed one head phone and then his cigarette, blowing out a spinning line smoke, “What now, Rat?” He asked.
“I got the office to put our auditions on the announcements this morning.” Rat smiled ridiculously then frowned as Tersias nodded, put his cigarette back in his mouth, shifted his bag on his shoulder, and kept walking, all in one swift movement.
“You know, sometimes, you’re too cool for your own good and you really shouldn’t be smoking, especially so close to school,” Rat said walking at a brisk pace to keep up.
Rat wasn’t short, but he also wasn’t nearly as tall as Tersias and although he was sly and quick, hence the name, but he had to work to keep up with Tersias. Rat’s short, dark, spiky hair, freckles, small nose, and silvery eyes, made him look even funnier as his face turned red trying to keep up.
“Careful, you’re gonna pop soon, Rat.” Tersias said with some amusement.
A scowl appeared on his puffy red face and this was enough to pull a small chuckle from Tersias, but nothing more. He slowed up a bit, which seemed to satisfy Rat, and neither said another word the rest of the way.
“Rat!! Tersias!! Good morning!” cried Terry happily tackling Tersias in a hug. “Tersias, you left without me this morning, again!”
Tersias, who was still upset that he had stubbed a perfectly good half a cigarette because they were getting close to school grounds, grabbed Terry by his collar and lifted him off.
“Try getting up on time, Terry…” Tersias said carelessly to his younger brother. They had similar features, dark hair, dark eyes, but Terry was remarkably shorter, and if creepy in anyway, it was because of his toddler like behavior and love for all things sweet.
Terry glared at him and stuck out his tongue, “Meany person!”
Tersias paid no mind and nodded in the direction of Clive. A gangly figure with thinly rimmed glasses, and fine dark hair that had wind blown wispy curls, who nodded back, even though his nose was stuck in a book.
The four of them looked like a strange boy band, and that was in a way their goal; to become a band. They all had musical talent and had all grown up together in the same neighborhood, so they had started a rock band and, even though Terry was younger, they got along extremely well and were actually really good, and only had one thing missing… a lead singer.
The girl didn’t even see the group of guys ahead of her. She just kept running, then without warning she hit something head on. Her charcoal hair flew as she fell backward. It didn’t take but a moment for her cool ocean blue eyes to catch Tersias’s dark ones, and it took even less time for her to begin to blush. His aura surrounded her effortlessly and she no longer felt threatened by the previous mental warning she had gotten while she was walking, but the effortless power of his aura frightened her for she could sense a greater power beneath it.
“Watch where you’re going, kid,” Tersias said coldly over his shoulder, still mad about his wasted half-cigarette.
She blushed even more, “I’m so sorry!! I just…!” She stopped and glanced over her shoulder.
The four of them all looked in the same direction blankly, “You hallucinating, or something?” Tersias asked bluntly.
She bit her lip and looked down stuttering, “I just… it… I thought someone… it felt like someone was watching me, or something. It was really creepy and so I just started running.”
“Yeah, yeah, go tell someone who cares,” Tersias grumbled.
“Tersias, that’s not very nice!” Terry said. Tersias just snorted, and Terry bent down next to her, “I’m Terry!” Smiling real big he asked, “What’s your name?”
She smiled weakly, still blushing, his aura was also strange. It was light and airy yet had great power lurking behind it. She felt he was not dangerous so said, “Gem, Gemma Stone.”
“Gem, wow! I like that name! It goes with your eyes!” Terry said excitedly.
“I’m Rat,” Rat said with a big cheesy smile and a wink. His aura seemed to be hiding, yet it was erratic and seemed to be everywhere, and she knew he was a demon, and judging by the name an animal one.
“My name is Clive,” Clive said adjusting his glasses. She smiled at Clive, his aura was neat and orderly and she could tell his power was somewhere in the 'physic abilities' area.
“Nice to meet you all,” Gem said in replied.
With a heavy sigh Tersias held out his hand, “I’m Tersias.”
She blinked then smiled taking his hand to help her up. Getting to her feet she gasped and pulled her hand away, she spun around just as someone rounded the corner. It was Morris, also known as Mo, with blond hair and blue eyes he looked perfectly normal. Gem paled as he walked past them, a heavy aura surrounded him that Gem had no particular love for, it was seemingly harmless but great power always seemed to lurk somewhere underneath, not always frightening, but... She had felt such auras, ones like Mo’s, Tersias’s, and Terry’s, but couldn’t place where or what they were.
“He’s the one who I felt behind me,” she said hoarsely then she covered her mouth realizing that she had said that out loud.
“Don’t know about being a stalker, but his name should've been Jack if you catch my drift,” Rat said watching him. “Hey what class are you in?”
She thought for a moment then pulled a piece of paper from her bag, and handed it to Rat.
“Sweet! You’re with us!” He smiled, “Just follow us and we’ll show you around!”
Gem smiled, and nodded. When they all got to the school Terry waved happily and skipped to his building.
“Where is he going?” Gem asked.
“All the age groups have different buildings where they go to class,” Clive said.
“Oh,” Gem said observing the building they were walking up to. “Is this our age groups?”
Clive nodded.
It was a rather large, older, building that seemed to tower above her as she craned her neck. She looked back down and saw scores of other teens, which made her weak in the knees. A chill went down her spin, and she got a coat from her bag. The coat was black, and looked terribly similar to the straight jackets people are given at mental homes.
Tersias looked her up and down, but seemed to be focused on her neck, “You really are something.” He said shaking his head.
She shivered, “I get cold all the time.” She said defensively slipping on the jacket.
“Hey you!” Chriss yelled, she smiling creepily as she walked over. She flipped her blond hair in an ostentatious manner, and battered her big blue eyes at Tersias, before turning again to Gem. “You must be the new girl, what’s your name?”
Gem looked at her oddly before saying, “Gem, Gemma Stone.” There's something very off about her aura, it's like... it's like a... a weed. Gem thought finally.
“Hmm,” Chriss said thoughtfully playing with a piece of hair. She looked Gem’s jacket and then smiled, “What’s that? Is it vintage?”
“It’s a souvenir from when I was in the Asylum,” Gem said blankly.
Chriss laughed, “Wow, you are a gem aren’t you?”
Gem didn’t even smile.
“Well, I’m Chriss,” she smiled again. She then turned to Tersias, “So are you guys gonna have that audition, or what?”
“Yeah! I have a flier right here!” Rat said excitedly, he pulled a flier from his bag and handed it to her.
Looking disappointed she took it, and then she turned again to Tersias, “Thanks, I’ll totally be there.” Rat looked horribly crushed as, Chriss winked at Tersias and then turned back to Gem, “It was nice meeting you, Gem.”
“I don’t like you…” Gem said flatly.
Chriss threw her head back laughing, “Oh, you are a gem!” She then turned and left
Gem looked confused and turned to Clive, “Did I sound sarcastic?”
Clive shrugged, “Chriss doesn’t really listen to other people. She does what she wants, when she wants, and no one gets in her way. She couldn’t care less weather or not she’s liked by you or anyone else, for that matter.”
Gem turned her head in the direction that Chriss had walked towards, “Her… vibe… wasn’t all that… nice…” She said this while deep in thought. I've never felt an aura like that before, she thought over everything she'd ever encountered. She then blushed, “I’m sorry that probably sounded really weird.”
“Don’t worry, it went with everything else you’ve said this morning,” Tersias said dully.
Gem blushed even more and looked down at her feet. His words seem to be careless but I feel like his aura's engulfing me and his eyes, he hasn't looked away from me this whole time... “I should go to the office and check in.” she said pulling herself from her thoughts.
“I’ll show you where it is,” Rat said happily.
The two of them left, and Tersias watched them carefully.
“Hey, Clive…” Tersias said. “Did she seem…?”
“Yeah, I got that impression too.” Clive said. “She was perplexed by something and her thoughts were a little too disorderly to read, but I'll have her deciphered before the end of the day. We’ll have to keep an eye on her.”
Tersias nodded in agreement. He was itching for a cigarette; she had unsettled his senses with her smell...
